Community Mobilization & Awareness
Safeguarding Malawi’s rich natural heritage for present and future generations.
At the heart of our work lies the belief that real change begins with people. The Natural Resources Justice Network (NRJN) empowers communities across Malawi to take an active role in protecting, managing, and benefiting from their natural resources. By fostering awareness, dialogue, and collective action, we ensure that citizens are not just passive observers but active stewards of the environment and drivers of accountability.
Our Approach
Grassroots Mobilization
We bring together community groups, traditional leaders, women, and youth to participate in decision-making processes around land, water, minerals, and forests.
Awareness Campaigns
Using media, public forums, and educational programs, we raise awareness on issues of natural resource governance, climate change, and biodiversity.
Capacity Building
We equip communities with knowledge on rights, governance frameworks, and advocacy tools, enabling them to hold duty-bearers accountable.
Inclusive Engagement
Our programs ensure that marginalized voices, especially women and youth, are represented and heard in policy dialogues and resource management.
