Who We Are
The Natural Resources Justice Network (NRJN) is a coalition of more than 30 civil society organizations, community-based groups, faith-based institutions, media organizations, and research bodies in Malawi. Founded in 2004 and legally registered under the Trustees Incorporation Act, NRJN was established to unite diverse voices in advocating for transparency, accountability, and equitable management of Malawi’s natural resources.
In 2013, the network evolved further, expanding its reach and influence by strengthening its governance systems and strategic priorities. Since then, NRJN has become one of Malawi’s leading voices in promoting natural resource justice, with a focus on empowering communities and influencing policy reform.
